Payment Policy

This page explains the payment methods we accept, how your payment is processed, and how we keep your financial information secure.

1. Accepted Payment Methods

Online payments launch 30 April 2026 with our e-commerce store. Until then, in-store payments and WhatsApp orders are available.

Our online store will be powered by Razorpay, India's leading payment gateway. You'll be able to pay using:

2. Currency

All prices on Proteinverse are displayed and charged in Indian Rupees (INR / ₹). We do not accept international currencies or process foreign exchange transactions at this time.

3. When You Are Charged

  • Online prepaid orders: Payment is collected at the time of checkout, before the order is dispatched.
  • Cash on Delivery: Payment is collected by the delivery partner at the time of delivery.
  • In-store purchases: Payment is collected immediately at the counter.
  • WhatsApp orders: Payment via UPI/bank transfer before dispatch, or COD where available.

4. Pricing

  • All prices are inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.
  • Prices may change without prior notice. We honour the price displayed at the time you placed your order.
  • Promotional discounts and coupon codes cannot be applied retroactively to past orders.
  • We reserve the right to cancel orders where a pricing error is identified (e.g., a product listed at an incorrect price due to a system error). In such cases, a full refund will be issued.

5. GST & Invoicing

Proteinverse complies with India's Goods and Services Tax regulations:

  • A GST-compliant invoice is generated for every purchase.
  • Online orders: Invoice is emailed and included in the package.
  • In-store purchases: Invoice provided at the counter.
  • If you need a GST business invoice (for companies), provide your GSTIN at checkout or inform us before purchase.

6. Payment Security

Your payment information is handled with the highest security standards:

  • Razorpay processes all online payments. They are PCI DSS Level 1 compliant — the highest level of payment security certification.
  • We never store your full card number, CVV, expiry date, or banking credentials on our servers.
  • All payment pages use 256-bit SSL encryption.
  • UPI transactions are processed through your bank's secure infrastructure.
  • 3D Secure (OTP verification) is enforced for card transactions as per RBI guidelines.

7. Failed Payments

If your payment fails during checkout:

  • No charge is applied — failed transactions are not processed.
  • If money was debited but the order was not confirmed, the amount will be auto-refunded within 5-7 business days by your bank.
  • If the refund doesn't appear within 7 days, contact us with your transaction reference and we'll help resolve it with Razorpay.
  • Common reasons for failure: insufficient balance, incorrect OTP, bank server downtime, network timeout.

8. Refund Timelines

For approved refunds (see our Shipping & Returns page):

  • UPI refunds: 1 – 3 business days
  • Debit/Credit card refunds: 5 – 7 business days
  • Net banking refunds: 5 – 7 business days
  • Wallet refunds: 1 – 2 business days
  • COD refunds: Via bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS), 3 – 5 business days after bank details confirmed

Refund timelines depend on your bank's processing speed. If a refund is delayed beyond the stated period, contact us and we'll follow up with Razorpay.

9. Disputes & Chargebacks

If you have a payment dispute:

  1. Contact us first — most issues can be resolved directly within 24 hours via WhatsApp.
  2. If we cannot resolve the issue, you may raise a dispute with your bank or card issuer.
  3. We cooperate fully with legitimate dispute investigations and provide transaction evidence as needed.
